In Lakes lists hotels, restaurants, takeaways and shops in Kendal, Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere and the nearby lakes. Places pay monthly to be in Lakes. Those places are marked.
What we cover
Kendal. Windermere. Bowness-on-Windermere. The water and the inns that sit between them. That is the map. We do not stretch to Ambleside, Keswick, or a vague “Lake District” catch-all — other sites already do that.
The mailing list
The directory is free to use online. There is no print run. If a mailing list is offered, that is an email list, not a print run. We will not invent a subscriber count.
How it is paid for
In Lakes is funded by listed, featured and partner placements — hotels, restaurants, takeaways and shops. Listed £29, Featured £49, Partner £79 a month, for six months. If a business has paid, the card is marked Listed, Featured or Partner. If the mandate stops, that place comes off.
What we will not do
